This is why God has given me a burden for expanding our television outreach beyond what we have ever done before. I’ve dreamed that someday Amazing Facts could establish our own 24-hour-a-day TV channel so that we could reach many more people than we are currently capable of reaching.
I’ve been praying and exploring how such a thing could happen. But in the past, we have always encountered too many obstacles — until now!
God has opened the door!
We are on the verge of a breakthrough where we can broadcast our gospel programs 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year — and do it for a very reasonable cost.
I’m talking about continually broadcasting our programs on the internet.
We are already stepping out in faith and getting ready to launch the station. It’s called AmazingFacts.TV! Evangelism Television!
You see, more and more, people today (especially people in their 20s and 30s) watch their news, television programs, and movies on their computers. Instead of watching a TV set like Michael and Vicki, today’s generation has literally thousands of entertainment and educational options online.
In fact, experts predict that in the next few years, even more people will watch their “television” programs on their computers or even on their cell phones rather than on their TV set at home! And they will do it in restaurants, hotel rooms, during their lunch hour, and even on the train or bus! They will have any program they want, any time they want it.
So if we want the gospel message to be proclaimed to this group of young people, we must adapt to their viewing habits. We must be available to reach them where THEY are! The growth of internet technology in foreign countries is even more dramatic. In Asia, there are more than 300 million people using the internet every day (sometimes for hours each day) … that’s more than the entire population of the United States!
The time is now!
I hope you can see why this has been my dream. And why I’m determined to see it happen.
The Bible tells us that “this gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come” (Matthew 24:14).
That time is now! That verse is for you and me — our generation! It’s never before been possible in all of world history to reach every soul on this planet in such a short period of time. But the internet is quickly closing that gap. We must take advantage of it right now.
The costs of launching www.AmazingFacts.TV is incredibly reasonable — about $194,000 in the next three months. We hope to have everything up and running by February 29.
Our goal is to begin broadcasting in English and then expand to other major languages.
One of the greatest benefits is that the costs of maintaining it (once the programs are up and running) are significantly lower than regular broadcast TV. And when people are watching online, we will be able to offer books and other resources that can be downloaded to their computer instantaneously, saving postage and shipping costs.
