An Amazing Fact: Although your white blood cells account for only one percent of your blood volume, they are among the most important cells. Acting like the “special forces” within your system, white blood cells are continually at war—seeking and destroying the bacteria that invade our bodies. In fact, one healthy white blood cell can wipe out 20 times as many enemy cells! And simply by practicing a healthy lifestyle, we can encourage our natural immune system to release these little warriors to prevent most diseases.
“The words that I speak to you … are life” (John 6:63).
Charles Spurgeon said, “The Word of God is like a lion. You don’t have to defend a lion. All you have to do is let the lion loose, and the lion will defend itself.” Just as the white blood cells within our bodies naturally fight off disease, so truth, when its released, will always eclipse and neutralize error.
We are living today in a world in which there is full-blown war between God’s saving truth and the devil’s distortions and lies. Just as prophecy foretold. And the momentum is rapidly increasing!
For instance, this past year, Hollywood has been pumping out grossly inaccurate films that distort vital Bible themes. Great characters like Noah, Moses, and even Jesus are being woefully misrepresented to an unsuspecting public.
Yet even though these big budget productions are distorting the truths of Scripture, I want you to know that God is still successfully combating error with truth through your support of Amazing Facts!
Truth Still Triumphs
I wish you could have been with me in Albuquerque to see what I saw during the Landmarks of Prophecy meetings. I am still overwhelmed with praise to the Lord for the many miracles we witnessed. Remember, these are miracles of transformed lives that you had a vital part in. All we did was unleash the lion of truth … and the built-in power of the Word of God did the rest!
Night after night, we watched the faces of hundreds of people, hungering for truth, light up with joy after hearing His Word! One lady who attended said, “I’ve been going to church all of my life and never understood these wonderful Bible truths. Where have you been?” Another enthusiastic lady approached me with her arms full of prophecy lessons and said, “I want to join this church, and I can’t wait to share this truth with my friends!”
While more than a thousand truth-searching souls attended the meetings in Albuquerque, we also know tens of thousands were watching around the world. Hundreds of Bible questions came in from as far away as Ethiopia, Norway, Guyana, Ukraine, Hungary, Hong Kong, Tonga, Saudi Arabia, New Zealand, Iran, Malaysia, Malawi, Nicaragua, Romania, Australia, and many others!
One man watching with a church group in Arizona said he had always struggled with the teaching of an ever-burning hell, where God tortures the lost forever. After hearing the Bible truth during Landmarks, with tears in his eyes, he said that for the first time in his life he can love and trust God!
Not only did these meetings reach new souls, but many existing church members who had lost the spark of enthusiasm or forgotten the reasons for their faith were revived. Ralph writes, “I was baptized when I was young but left the church when I was 18. I have found my way back to Christ through these meetings.”
Have You Been Reading the Headlines?
From all the prophetic indicators in the world around us, I believe the coming of the Lord is drawing near. That’s why it is so important, while these precious days of mercy linger, to reach as many people as possible with lifesaving truth.
And what is much of God’s church doing during this historic time? Sleeping! That’s why it is so important that we, together, take advantage of this opportunity to release the lion of truth! “They shall walk after the LORD. He will roar like a lion!” (Hosea 11:10). This is where we especially need your help right now.
Naturally, producing a live, 22-part series was a very expensive undertaking, and this has sapped much of Amazing Facts’ outreach resources. But the testimonies we’re getting tell us that not only was it well worth it—it was truly the Lord’s will!
I'm so happy to report to you that all of the Landmarks of Prophecy meetings were successfully recorded, so, together with our new Landmarks lessons, they will continue to win people to Jesus for many years to come!
I am convinced our best defense against Satan’s sophistries is to unleash the lion of truth as often and freely as possible. In the new year spread before us, we must get these powerful, fresh, truth-filled programs out to as many prime television outlets as possible. It’s also essential to have these programs translated to reach into countries like China.
The good news is that we can know that God will go before us! Isaiah 55:10, 11 promises that whenever His Word goes forth, it will accomplish His intended purpose. And I have seen firsthand how unleashing the lion of truth can liberate people from lies and spiritual confusion. “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32).
What a tremendous year 2014 has been! But our work is far from over. Already we’re planning for a BIG 2015 to share profound Bible truths in America, Jamaica, the Philippines, and beyond—with new life-transforming programming for radio, TV, and the web. We will use every means possible to reach as many people as possible for Christ!
