An Amazing Fact: According to the ancient historian Herodotus, Babylon—where God’s people were held captive for 70 years—was the most fortified city on earth. The massive walls surrounding the city were 56 miles around, more than 270 feet high, and so wide at the top that four chariots could ride side by side upon them. This extensive wall was also hedged with a deep and wide outer moat. Despite these and other massive fortifications, however, the city of Babylon fell to the Medes and Persians in one night … and God’s people were liberated!
Before Jesus returns, another battle will be fought against Babylon—spiritual Babylon—a symbol for the religious confusion that enslaves millions in destructive beliefs. Indeed, the second angel’s message in Revelation 14 and 18 is a desperate warning for God’s people to escape from Babylon before the plagues fall.

Still, the Darkness DeepensEven now, as I scan the latest headlines, I see the darkness deepening. So many searching souls are trapped in the traditions and deceptions of Babylon. And today the Reformation seems to be running in reverse. Furthermore, the movements of the beast power are not secretly creeping; they are openly galloping!
Beyond regular calls for Christians to return to the “Mother Church,” we're witnessing the pope's astounding and historic statements regarding sex, marriage, and immoral lifestyles. In a major church document released a month ago, the pope essentially says Catholics should look to their own consciences rather than church rules to negotiate today’s social complexities.
Can you see how the pope is gradually drawing the world to “a form of godliness” without the power of the Spirit, willing to compromise the holiness of our God, and that the whole world is wondering after him? (2 Timothy 3:5).
This is why I urgently request your support this month and throughout the coming year, that we might counter a fake and twisted gospel with the real one. Without you keeping our programs broadcasting, our websites current, our publications printing, these dear souls lost in Babylon might never hear the warning call.
