| |  Pastor Doug Batchelor is presenting a unique Bible prophecy seminar — called Time Is Ticking Away — in Sydney, Australia, through November 14, 2009 — and the timing couldn’t be more critical.
A spiritual battle is being waged for the hearts and minds of people living in the city of Sydney and the rest of that nation. This weekend in Australia, virulent and outspoken atheist Christopher Hitchens will be speaking at the Festival of Dangerous Ideas in Sydney. What’s so dangerous about ideas? Well, according to Mr. Hitchens, “Religion poisons everything.”
Atheists in Australia and around the world are upping the ante in their war of words and ideas, attacking the Christian faith with increasing hate and antagonism.
So it’s absolutely crucial that God’s people — you and all of our supporters — begin to pray right now for Pastor Doug and this outreach effort, that a powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit will move on the hearts of people all over Australia during this 20-part event.

I have just now read about this important series, and have bowed my head asking for the Lord to send as many angels as is needed to keep the evil ones at bay; not only that, but to also have Christopher Hitchens see the advertisements, and give him a desire to attend, and that it may be a, if not "the" means for his conversion. My son said to me not long ago, "Mom, we really need to pray for Doug Batchelor, and others like him, that they will not be among the ones who at one time or another give up our wonderful message." He's right! The devil is on the war path, and he is viciously attacking all who are standing for the right. If we aren't being attacked, then there is something wrong with our faith.

I am from Perth Western Australia and i will be attending the conference this weekend in Sydney. i am leaving on the midnight flight from Perth. I look forward to a spirit filled and uplifting message from Pr Doug and other speakers and then to returning to Perth to share my experience with others. Hitchens is witty and cunning, but haughty. Pastor Doug speaks to the common person in such a kind way and with such clear examples that even a child can understand him. Ask yourself, if there were a God, which person exemplifies the kind of God you would want to believe in?

WOW. watching Doug live is better then on tv :O). Great series here in Sydney Paster Doug , traveled 1000km from Melbourne in the car and it was well worth it. Also thankyou for signing my Bible and other books, my friends loved them.

A group of friends were blessed to attend the first 3 of the 20 days program; what a privilege to hear the Lord speaking through Paster Doug. We were sad that we had to return to Melbourne as we would have so wished to be their till the completion of this God inspired outreach. There were many people from other denominations and others that had no connection with any church. So many people searching!
