Amazing Facts Acquires Powerful Satellite TV Channel

Amazing Facts is excited to announce the launch of its very own television channel, airing on one of the premier satellite networks in the world! The Galaxy 19 satellite has an enormous broadcast footprint reaching North America, Central America, and the Caribbean, giving Amazing Facts the opportunity to reach a much bigger audience with the everlasting gospel than ever before.

The new channel, Amazing Facts Television (AFTV), will be available for viewing beginning tomorrow, March 19, 2010, at 9:00 am ET. The channel lineup is still under construction, so please be patient. A regular schedule will be announced in the next few weeks.

“For about five years now,” explains Pastor Doug, “This ministry has been talking about and praying for our own TV channel to boldly broadcast the truth triumphant 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week. Well. It’s happened! God’s Word is marching forward powerfully!

Opportunity Knocks
By God’s providence, recent extraordinary events aligned to allow Amazing Facts to sign a contract that will put our programming on a powerful satellite network for just a fraction of the expected cost.

Pastor Doug received a phone call from a friend in Christian broadcasting saying they and several other ministries were moving to a new the G-19 satellite, which would reach millions of new homes. “We were able to secure this channel at the very right time because of the weakened economy and the collective bargaining power of likeminded broadcasters.

Regular land-based TV stations are now battling an array of new FCC laws that could restrict the freedom of religious broadcasters. Being on this new satellite 23,000 miles above the earth gives Amazing Facts added protection to boldly proclaim the full message.

How to Get AFTV
The new AFTV channel will be available on the Galaxy 19 satellite, a direct-to-home, free-to-air service network, which also hosts our friends at 3ABN and affiliates and Loma Linda Broadcasting. It also airs dozens of other Christian networks, such as Trinity Broadcasting, Daystar, The Word, and several other bi-lingual broadcasts reaching millions of diverse viewers across North America.

Any of our friends that now get 3ABN on the G-19 satellite can also get Amazing Facts Television. You might need to press rescan on your remote to capture the new channel. Once again, please be patient as we develop a regular broadcast schedule. For now, we’re running an array of programming, one after the other, focused on outreach and revival.
