Dear friend, 
Although our world is filled with darkness, Jesus—the light of the world—has the power and authority to banish the deepest gloom from any life. His promise is: “He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life” (John 8:12). Today, I’m grateful for your sacrificial gifts that shine the brilliant light of the Savior’s love into the hearts of so many people trapped in the darkest despair—people like Daniel and so many others whose lives have been transformed because of your compassion.

From Anger to Joy
Daniel never smiled as a child.
“I was always angry,” he says. A sinister force held Daniel in its grip. Violent video games and the pounding beats and explicit lyrics of worldly music fueled his anger. By middle school, he was regularly in fistfights, abused alcohol and drugs, and was always in trouble.
Thankfully, God hadn’t given up on Daniel. And thanks to gifts like yours, Daniel has traded his angry grimace for a radiant smile.
An Angry Encounter and the Holy Spirit
One day, when two of his friends beat up an intoxicated man and robbed him, 15-year-old Daniel trailed behind, horror twisting his stomach into knots. 
That’s when the Holy Spirit spoke to his heart. “Daniel, is this really the life you want to live?” Daniel shares, “I began to reconsider my ways—but, instead, I gave up trying to do the right things.” One day, Daniel exploded in rage and slammed his brother’s head into a wall. Horrified, his mother pleaded with him to change his life. Soon after, Daniel prayed his first real prayer: “God, if You can change me, please do.”
As he sat waiting for peace, an evil force entered the room. Suddenly, his body became rigid, and he was pinned to his bed. Then, explains Daniel, “A voice in my head told me to say, ‘Jesus, save me!’” It took all his strength, but three times he called on Jesus. Moments later, his body relaxed—peace washed over him as he drifted to sleep.
“I woke up happy the next morning,” Daniel beams. “I had so much peace and joy! My family thought I’d gone crazy.”
Sharing the Joy, Growing in Truth
After his baptism, Daniel discovered Amazing Facts. “Pastor Doug’s sermons helped my relationship with Christ and strengthened my faith,” he says.
He also received an AFCOE advertisement. Feeling he needed more tools for sharing Jesus, he and his wife prayed. Daniel shares, “God opened all the doors. It’s such a blessing to be studying at AFCOE. I want to be the most effective worker for Christ that I can be.” Daniel hopes to become a full-time Bible worker or evangelist. “I am open to wherever God leads me,” he says. “There’s no other work more fulfilling.”
Thank you for helping equip young laborers like Daniel for the Lord’s last-day work. Your kind gifts make an eternal difference in their lives—and in the thousands they touch for Christ.

Creation or Evolution Summit
Thanks to your selfless gifts, God is transforming people
