A Continent Ripe for Harvest

and French-speaking city (Kinshasa)—making Africa one of the most strategic mission fields on the planet.

Mariam had been thinking about the book of Revelation—did it mean anything for our time? But her husband, David, was skeptical. Like many, he believed Revelation was

mostly symbolism—interesting but impractical. Searching on YouTube, they were watching an Amazing Facts program within minutes. What they found through the video you made available changed everything.

Growing up in Egypt, Mariam and David were raised in a Christian tradition rich in ritual but light on personal Bible study. “We were nominal Christians,” David said. “No Bible. No prayer. No real spiritual life.”

One evening, David found a sermon by Pastor Doug about hellfire. Determined to test everything, David downloaded six Bible translations—three in Arabic and three in English. He paused the sermon at every verse, carefully checking Scripture for himself.

What he discovered stunned him. “It was all there,” he said. “Exactly as the Bible said.” Mariam and David began studying together. Four months later, they were baptized. Today, they are active in their local church and share Arabic-subtitled Amazing Facts truth-filled programs with those who are open and searching like they once were.

Here’s how it works: You send teams into communities—often where no Sabbath-keeping church exists. They study the Bible with families, conduct evangelistic meetings, disciple new believers, and plant churches.

Our missionaries and Bible workers often report that our African friends are watching Amazing Facts programs and sharing them with their friends.
