In Their Own Tongue

It is dangerous in some countries to be caught with Christian literature. That’s why the team you support in India has been working hard to make the Amazing Facts Study Guides available through interactive PDF files that can be easily shared electronically worldwide. The files allow users to check boxes on the summary sheet and enroll in the Bible School. This new platform has already been launched in English (Indian version), Tamil, and Telugu. Plans are also underway to release files in the Boro, French, Hindi, Portuguese, Sumi, and Turkish languages soon.

 Prophecy Odyssey, Pastor Doug’s evangelistic series broadcast from New York City, was watched by people worldwide, including India. Through live translation, the meetings blessed those who speak Hindi and Urdu (the primary language of Muslim communities). Thousands have watched, and newly translated Bible lessons have been prepared to send out to those who speak Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, and Portuguese.

 Our Bible School in India continues to enroll new students who appreciate the free Study Guides. Feedback has been positive. One student shared, “The knowledge and wisdom we receive from these lessons is unlike anything we receive from our theology schools, colleges, or universities.” Another said, “We read many Christian books, but nowhere have we been able to receive this simple understanding we receive from these lessons.”

 A young man working for our Amazing Facts team in India recently married. At their wedding, they decided it was an excellent opportunity to share their faith. Many Hindus came to the event, so they passed out Amazing Facts bookmarks and many books to all the guests. The newlywed says, “I praise God that He helped me find a wife who would support me in this work for God.”

 Your kind gifts are sending Amazing Facts literature to pastors (both Sabbath-keeping and Sunday-keeping) who value our materials when spiritually feeding their congregations. Please pray for the ongoing work of translation, printing, and broadcasting. India has vast numbers of people who don’t know Christ’s peace and the gospel’s power to change hearts.  The Last Page

 Aron from Tirupur was leaving his Sunday school class when he noticed a piece of paper on the floor. When he picked it up, he saw it was the last page of a Bible lesson in Tamil, his native language. He was curious and took it home. It matched another piece of paper he had found earlier, and then he noticed a way to contact our Amazing Facts center in India.

 He called and left a message, so one of our call center reps who spoke Tamil called back. Aron shared his experience and was interested in receiving the rest of the Bible guides. Our team gladly sent him the lessons. The Lord used the last page of a study guide to lead this young man to truth. In a country where openly witnessing is prohibited, God still has many ways to reach hearts. Let us continue sowing seeds in India and watch the Lord grow a large harvest!

 A Devotional Gift

 Our call center in India is a key platform for sharing Bible truth with people who have questions and praying for those who have needs.

 One day, Mr. Krishner called about our materials. The rep eventually asked how the man found our phone number. He said he was a Sunday-keeping pastor and told the rep about when he visited a family in his congregation. After praying for this family, he noticed a devotional book in Telugu sitting on a table. It was from Amazing Facts and titled Triumphant Truth. After reading a few pages, he was impressed and wanted to study more. The family gave him the book.

 When our rep spoke of our Bible school and offered to sign him up for the free lessons, he immediately agreed. After receiving the materials, Mr. Krishner called back and was overjoyed by what he was learning. He explained that he had been in the ministry for almost 25 years and was searching for resources to help him understand the Bible’s truth more clearly.

 Praise God for the resources you helped create, which are reaching the hearts of spiritual leaders in India. Mr. Krishner will soon finish the lessons and is planning to share what he has learned with others.
