Will good people from different denominations be saved?

Scripture: Luke 13:29
Will good people from different denominations be saved? The Bible is clear that many will come from the east and west and sit down with Abraham. God has people living up to the light they have. So, yes there will be people from many different denominations.

Caller:  My question was, you know how people I guess that are not religious, and they’re like good and all and everything, and I was wondering if they will go to Heaven too?

Pastor Doug:  There are going to be different people in Heaven.  Now on our computer screen, you must have said something to our operators about Mother Theresa.  Were you wondering if she’ll be in Heaven?

Caller:  Yes.

Pastor Doug:  Well let me say very quickly that the Bible is clear that many will come from the East and the West and sit down in the Kingdom with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and the children of the Kingdom – in other words – children who might have been raised in the church or in the faith, will not be there.  So we’re not saved by virtue of membership.

Church membership is very important.  I don’t want to understate that but the Bible is clear that God has His people from many different persuasions who are living up to the light they have.  Whether or not Mother Theresa is going to be in the Kingdom – I don’t want to be her judge – but from what I know, she seemed to be very dedicated, sacrificial soul.  And I would not be a bit surprised to find her there.  I’d probably be surprised not to find her there.

But, yes, there’s going to be people from many different denominations in the Kingdom that will be saved.
