Unleashing the Hidden Harvest
November 01, 2016
An Amazing Fact: Did you know that just one tiny grain of wheat can produce eight or more heads, and each head can produce forty seeds? This means a single pound of wheat seed can yield more than 300 pounds of edible grain—and just one acre of wheat can provide a family of four with bread for ten years! “Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold” (Genesis 26:12).
Friends, I strongly believe that we are about to witness one of the greatest crops of converted souls in human history. I also believe that Jesus is calling us to help generate unprecedented interest in His last-day message.
It is amazing to consider how much a single seed can exponentially multiply. But what’s even more astounding is how a single seed of God’s Word can multiply lives changed when we plant seed in an open heart. In John 4:35, the Lord says, “Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest.”
These words of Christ are especially true today. That’s why I pray—during this Thanksgiving season when families will be gathering to celebrate God’s blessings—that you will join me in scattering seeds of truth to increase the harvest of souls that will soon gather in heaven around Jesus’ banquet table.
Calling Souls Out of Babylon
Did you know that to me, you are an amazing fact? You’ve helped many wandering pilgrims know Jesus through Amazing Facts on radio, TV, the Web, and live evangelism. You have been spreading the very seeds that are bursting forth now to produce a heavenly harvest.
From planting seeds of Bible truth through HCBN television in the Philippines and Indonesia, Life Destiny TV in South Africa, Lifestyle TV in Sweden, and METV in the Middle East, so many searching pilgrims are finding their way to the heavenly feast table!
But today, I want to invite you to reap with me another kind of harvest—I’m thinking of the millions of sincere seekers stuck in the confusing morass of fallen churches that comprise modern Babylon. People like Mike …
Bad Seed, Good Soil
As an adult, Mike drifted from the church of his youth as he experienced worldly success. When he saw the world unraveling, however, his faith began gnawing at him again. “I wanted to get into my Bible,” he shared with me.
As he started searching the Word for himself, Mike was excited about these new ideas, but he realized they clashed with his church. “Growing up,” he says, “you just didn’t question the church. I was scared to death. I talked to my parents and church leaders, but I couldn’t get answers.”
As Mike was praying about what to do, at the right time, God led him to Amazing Facts on TV. What caught his attention was how we openly addressed the very questions he had been asking! “I couldn’t wait to order the free offers at the end of your programs. I was learning so much. It made a huge difference in my life.”
After a season of struggle, Mike decided to join a Protestant church. “I felt lost,” he recalls. “I was taught that the Protestant churches were evil and that I was doomed to hell if I joined one.” But once again, Mike encountered major biblical errors coming from the pulpits in his new church. He felt like he had jumped out of the pot of deception only to land in the frying pan of error!
Thankfully, Mike was still studying his Bible along with the Amazing Facts Study Guides and found answers to his big questions. Eventually, Amazing Facts connected Mike with a Sabbath-keeping church in his community, and today he is in joyful fellowship with a loving congregation preparing for the soon coming of Christ!
Friend, Mike is a perfect example of how you are growing the harvest! Thank you for helping to reach him and thousands more like him every day.
Amazing Truths Change Lives!
Around the world, we're working to harvest more hidden souls by blanketing the airwaves with seeds of Bible truth. And thanks to your help, Amazing Facts is on the most number of networks in our history—but there are still many places that need to hear this vital message.
So, as you gather with friends and loved ones this Thanksgiving season, will you please remember these lonely, searching souls in your prayers? After all, our freedom to scatter gospel seed is waning. “The night is coming when no man can work” (John 9:4). God bless you as you put your hand to the plow today and prepare the harvest with Amazing Facts!
Your friend in the harvest,
