Preparing Amazing Disciples

Preparing Amazing Disciples
In August, the Amazing Facts Center of Evangelism (AFCOE) and Pastor Doug Batchelor presented a unique outreach training series at Granite Bay Church using the new Amazing Disciples study guide. More than four thousand watched the sessions in person and online from across the United States and from places like Dubai, Indonesia, England, and South Africa.

These exciting presentations provided participants with tools for sharing Christ in the workplace, methods in giving Bible studies, and ways to connect with people on spiritual issues. Pastor Doug presented Bible answers to difficult questions that many Christians face when presenting the gospel. Pastor Jëan Ross, director of evangelism, shared the importance of reaching out to discouraged church members. Other presenters gave thought-provoking and inspiring presentations that encouraged attendees to take the principles they learned and apply them in making friends for Christ.

Pastor Doug, reflecting on the principle that “he who waters will also be watered” (Proverbs 11:25), shared, “It was exciting to train God’s people as soul winners! We get a double blessing as we reach others with the gospel—we grow the kingdom and we get more deeply grounded in our own faith.”

One longtime church member shared, “I really appreciated the practical instruction on how to give Bible studies. This training simplified the process and gave the steps for introducing people to truth. Now I feel more comfortable giving a Bible study on my own.”

And Illaisa, who attended every meeting, said, “This has been a blessing! I’ve learned it is important to be connected to God, to have the Holy Spirit in my life, so I can go out and share. Now I know how to reach others, and I have the courage to do it.”

Amazing Facts designed the Amazing Disciples program to help prepare God’s people to share the gospel around the world, especially amid the challenges of earth’s final days. Jesus said, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest” (Matthew 9:37, 38).

Even if you missed this program, you can still order the book from afbookstore.com to share with your local church group! And be on the lookout for a new witnessing training DVD series coming soon!
