The Nations Saved
Read Time: 2 min

All throughout the Bible, the universality of what the Father has done through Christ is attested to. Even before the creation of the world, God’s intention was for everyone—from every nation—to have eternal life.
The first angel of Revelation 14 carries the everlasting gospel to “every nation, tribe, tongue, and people” (Revelation 14:6). Jesus said, “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16, emphasis added). Isaiah prophesied, “I will also give You [Jesus] as a light to the Gentiles [nations], that You should be My salvation to the ends of the earth” (Isaiah 49:6, emphasis added).
All nations have been given the hope, the promise, of eternal life in Jesus. His death was for every human being; no one was to be left out. The fires of hell were never prepared for humanity; they were never meant for us. As Jesus said to the lost, “Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels” (Matthew 25:41).
Isaiah writes, “The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness has seized the hypocrites: ‘Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?’” God’s answer: “He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly” (Isaiah 33:14–16).
In today’s verse, we see the mighty power of God. Multitudes from every land walk in His presence, but they are not consumed. He has made them able to stand in His presence. Also notice the incredible change in the kings of the earth who are redeemed.
In this world, men selfishly seek glory and honor by using force to lift themselves up and secure more power. There, the kings of the earth take all honor and glory and give it to the King of kings. Rather than lording over others, they serve and support the government of the One who died to redeem us as His own.
Lord, I choose to accept You and Your salvation. Let nothing stand in my way.
