Overview
Our Mission in Tarapoto, Peru
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted…” — Luke 4:18
In 2027, God has called us to serve in Tarapoto, Peru, following Christ’s example by ministering to both the physical and spiritual needs of the people while sharing the hope of the everlasting gospel.
During this mission, we will provide medical and dental care, conduct Vacation Bible School (VBS) for children, and carry out evangelistic outreach activities throughout the area. We will also provide evangelism training for pastors and local church leaders, equipping them to continue sharing the message of salvation within their communities.
Our desire is for every person to experience the love of Jesus through Christian service and for many families to be reached with the message of hope. We pray that this mission will strengthen local churches, bless the surrounding communities, and lead many people to surrender their lives to Christ as we prepare for His soon return.
Participation Fee: $1,400

This mission trip will conclude with a very special event: Brotherhood Sabbath on Saturday, April 24, at the Adventist University in Tarapoto. Pastor Doug Batchelor will preach during this special gathering, where we anticipate approximately 2,000 people from Tarapoto and surrounding cities will come together for a joyful day of worship, fellowship, and spiritual celebration. We will also celebrate the lives of those who have made the decision to follow Christ through baptism. In the afternoon, we will provide evangelism training, equipping church members and leaders with practical tools to continue sharing the gospel and reaching their communities for Christ.
CONSTRUCTION
We will be partnering with Maranatha Volunteers International to support the California Church. Together, we will help improve the church facilities, creating a more welcoming and functional place where the congregation can gather for worship, fellowship, and community outreach. This project will strengthen the ministry of the local church and provide a lasting blessing for both its members and the surrounding community. Our prayer is that these efforts will leave a lasting impact, strengthen the local church, and help prepare many hearts to receive the everlasting gospel.
HEALTH EXPO
We will be providing four days of free medical and dental care to underserved communities in Tarapoto, Peru, where many families have limited access to quality healthcare and affordable medical services. Through this ministry, we hope to meet practical needs, demonstrate Christ’s compassion, and open doors to share the hope of the everlasting gospel. We are confident that this initiative will be a great blessing to the lives of many people throughout the region.
VBS (Vacation Bible School)
The Vacation Bible School (VBS) team will partner with the local church to support its children’s outreach program in the Tarapoto area. Working alongside local volunteers, we will help teach children about Jesus through engaging Bible stories, songs, games, crafts, and interactive activities. Our prayer is that every child will experience God’s love and be encouraged to grow in faith while strengthening the ongoing ministry of the local church.

FAP Guillermo del Castillo Paredes Option 2 – Recreation Day in Tarapoto Enjoy a recreation day in Tarapoto to relax, explore the area, and experience more of the local culture. Option 3 – Machu Picchu Extension | April 25–28 Continue the adventure with an optional group trip to Cusco and Machu Picchu. The group will fly to Cusco on April 25, spend April 26–27 exploring the area and visiting Machu Picchu, and depart on April 28. NOTE: If you arrive in Tarapoto, Peru before Monday, April 19, or stay after Sunday, April 25, then you are responsible for your own lodging, meals, and transportation.

Entry Requirements For Peru
Foreign nationals traveling to Peru must meet the following entry requirements:
- No Visa required for U.S.A. passport holders (passport valid for at least 6 months)
- Currently NO proof of COVID and vaccinations are required when entering the country.
- Printed hotel information (we will provide it).
- Conference invitation letter (will be provided by us).
Medical Requirements
Consult the Internet for a list of recommended vaccinations and medications. Consider visiting your physician four to six weeks prior to travel for any additional medical advice or treatment.

Climate:
Tarapoto has a tropical rainforest climate, characterized by warm temperatures and high humidity throughout the year. April falls within the rainy season, so brief afternoon showers are common. Daytime temperatures typically range from 75°F to 91°F (24°C to 33°C). Lightweight clothing, comfortable walking shoes, a rain jacket or umbrella, sunscreen, and insect repellent are highly recommended.

Most modern electronic devices, including laptops, cell phones, tablets, and USB chargers, support 100–240V and will work with a plug adapter if needed. However, travelers bringing hair dryers, curling irons, straighteners, or other personal appliances should verify that they are compatible with 220V or bring an appropriate voltage converter to avoid damaging their devices.

Peru Mission Trip Pre-Registration Form

This is NOT the official registration and does not reserve your spot on the mission trip.
Due to limited space, pre-registrations will be reviewed based on the order they are received and the specific needs of the mission trip. Those selected to move forward will receive an invitation to complete the official registration when it becomes available.
This pre-registration is designed to help us identify those who are interested in participating, estimate the number of attendees, and communicate important updates about the trip.
If you are registering with your immediate family, only one family member should complete this pre-registration on behalf of the entire family. Please include the full name of every immediate family member who plans to participate, as each individual listed will count toward the total capacity of the trip. If your family is invited to move forward, each participant will be required to complete the official registration individually.
If additional immediate family members decide to join after your pre-registration has been submitted, we cannot guarantee availability once the trip reaches capacity. Friends and other participants must submit their own pre-registration form.
