Saved From the Coming Storm

Carlie was trapped in spiritual Sodom—and time was running out.

Then Peggy knocked on her door. She didn’t preach. She brought food from the local food bank and offered a few kind words. Then a card with a Bible verse. Carlie read it and felt something shift in her heart. “How did you know I needed that?” she asked.

Week after week, Peggy kept coming. One card at a time. Until one day, Carlie asked a question that changed everything: “Would you give me Bible studies?”

But Satan doesn’t let go easily. Life got busy. Carlie drifted. “I was in and out of church for years,” she says. “I started slipping. I worked on God’s Sabbath.”

Still, Carlie couldn’t shake the pull of the Holy Spirit.

“Every time I fell away,” she said, “I’d feel convicted to watch a Doug Batchelor sermon.” And every time, the truth brought her back to her knees.

One day, a knock at the door. A policeman was investigating a crime in which Carlie had been a victim. As they spoke, he discovered she had once kept the Sabbath. “So do I,” he said. He encouraged her to return to the flock.

That moment shook her. She called Peggy, who had moved away but still kept in touch. “Jesus is coming soon,” Peggy told her. “You know what’s right. It’s time.”

Carlie quit her job—on faith—so she could honor the Sabbath again. And God faithfully provided.

Carlie’s story is one of a spiritual battle won by faith and God’s truth. It’s a story you made possible. But she’s not the only one. People all around you are in the same broken place—trapped, hurting, and searching for something real.

That’s why we need to act now.

Jesus warned us what the end would look like: “As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man … until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all” (Luke 17:26, 27).

In another passage, He compared the end to the days of Lot—when fire rained down on Sodom and Gomorrah. The judgment was fast. Sudden. Final. That’s the world we’re living in today. The signs are everywhere. The urgency is real. The window to reach people is closing.

But here’s the good news: There’s still time. You can help others get on the ark of safety. You can help someone else like Carlie discover the truth and hold on through the coming storm.
