Daniel Super Hero for Christ, Part 2

Daily Devotional Audio

Daniel’s girlfriend gave him a book called The Richest Caveman. It sparked in him a desire to know the truths that Pastor Doug discovered in the Bible.

When Daniel was a senior in high school, an Amazing Facts evangelist came to town to hold a series of meetings. Daniel and Leanna went to every presentation.

“As I sat night after night, hearing these special truths from the Bible, I thought, ‘I would love to do what that man is doing. I’d love to share these truths from the Bible with every one that I come in contact with.’”

At the end of the series, Daniel was baptized. And he also discovered that the Caveman he read about wasn’t just the author of a single random book—he actually headed up an international ministry! Daniel eagerly began working his way through all of the Amazing Facts resources available online.

“I became an Amazing Facts addict,” he tells people. He read as much material as he could and constantly checked the website for new articles and new videos. “I couldn’t wait to see what was coming next.”

Time continued to pass and Daniel became more and more active in his church—leading prophecy seminars himself, and even preaching sometimes. Now he was doing what he had first longed to do when he heard the Good News—sharing it with others and seeing their lives changed just like his own life had been transformed.

Although Daniel’s mom had passed away while he was in high school, he’d invite his dad to come hear him when he spoke at church. And his dad often accepted the invitation.

Meanwhile, Daniel and Leanna married and began their family. Their involvement in church continued to grow. Any time Amazing Facts would do a worldwide satellite broadcast, their home church would be a host site. Daniel continued to invite his dad for those special events. His dad came because he enjoyed Pastor Doug’s style of preaching and he eventually joined the church and was baptized.

Today, Daniel works full time as a graphic designer and evangelist for Amazing Facts. He shares, “Now I work alongside the Caveman telling everyone about the real Super Man.”

Reflect: Did you ever wish to do some great work for the Lord? Pray for the power of the Holy Spirit to lead you. God often has us begin with small steps which lead to big advances.
