John A Wrong Turn to the Right Place

While driving on a new delivery route, John missed a turn and had to make his way back. As he drove down the “wrong” street, his mouth fell open upon passing a sign that read “Amazing Facts.” This was the ministry that helped change his life! After work, he drove back and was given a royal tour.

“Amazing Facts has been a big part of my walk with Christ,” he explains. “Seven years ago I was living in a confused world that included marijuana and impurity.” Then one day he saw his neighbor trying to move a mattress down from the top floor of her apartment. After helping her, she asked, “Do you know Jesus?” Then she invited John to attend a Bible study at her daughter’s home. He went.

“At this time in my life I was surrounded by non-believers. I never read the Bible,” he shares. When he went to the Bible study, the first thing they did was pop in a Final Events DVD. “Since that moment,” John tells, “I have had a hunger for God’s Word.

John started thinking about attending church. As he debated whether to attend, Joanne, his neighbor and Jolene, her daughter, invited him to a series of meetings at their church. After the meetings had concluded, the pastor connected John with one of the church elders named Paul to study the Bible. Every week they went over the Amazing Facts Bible Study Guides. John was baptized on his birthday.

Since that time, Amazing Facts has helped John begin his life again in his new marriage and also in sharing with others the truths he has learned.

John was a little frustrated the day he missed his turn on his driving route, but all along God was directing his pathway to Amazing Facts. “I was so glad to be able to say thank you to everyone at Amazing Facts,” he says. John was once going down the wrong road in his life, but God caused him to turn in the right direction.

Reflect: Have you ever driven down a one-way street in the wrong direction? God can use any circumstance to turn us around toward Him, and in so doing make us a blessing to others.
