Prea Unafraid to Witness, Part 1

Daily Devotional Audio

Prea wanted to learn how to share her faith with others and was excited to attend an AFCOE to Go evangelistic training seminar held by Amazing Facts. “When I finished the course,” Prea says, “the first thing I did was tell my church about the experience because they sponsored me. From there, I held a class at church on how to give Bible studies. It wasn’t that scary since I used the tools that I had received at AFCOE to Go. I just passed on that same information.”

Prea was anxious to use her training to win souls. In September, a visitor came to her home church. The guest had been watching a Christian satellite program and had discovered the Sabbath truth. She wanted to know more, so she decided to visit the Sabbath-keeping church that Prea attended. “I started talking with her,” says Prea, “and at the end of the day I asked her if she would like to do Bible studies. She said yes, and we met once a week.” Prea and Moucille completed the 26-lesson Amazing Facts Bible Study Guides, which include various Bible topics of interest.

“Moucille was so interested in knowing more and more Bible truth,” Prea explains. “She was always on time to our studies, and she was very happy to be learning and she eagerly responded to every appeal at the end of each lesson.” Moucille was so willing to follow truth, in fact, that when Prea shared the study guide on the topic of returning the tithe, Moucille thought she would not have the money to do that. But when she truly understood the lesson, she told Prea, “I didn’t know that. I’m just going to do it.”

Moucille, 75, was struggling with knee problems, but she faithfully came to every study even when she could barely move. She also shared recipes with Prea that she was using since becoming a vegetarian. “When we finished the Amazing Facts study guides, I invited Moucille to attend the live streaming presentations with Doug Batchelor called Landmarks of Prophecy that were being held at our church. She came to those meetings, too.” Moucille was baptized, and she and Prea enjoy a close friendship.

Reflect: Have you ever given someone a Bible study? It’s a deeply rewarding experience to open the Word and share God’s truth with another person. Contact your pastor if you’d like to learn how to conduct a Bible study.
