Sheila Deeper Faith, Part 2

After her marriage shattered, Sheila was inspired to practice what she was learning from Amazing Facts. She was determined to cling to the Lord through all her difficulties. One day, she faced a new test. “I was working to make ends meet and realized I didn’t have enough gas to get home from work,” she recalls. “I didn’t know what to do.”

She prayerfully decided to trust God and drove to work, even though her gas tank registered nearly empty. That very day, friends came to her work with boxes of food. Tears freely fell down her cheeks as they kindly told her, “This is for your family.” In one box was a card with just enough money to fill her gas tank. Sheila praised God for faithfully fulfilling His promises to her.

Eventually Sheila met a godly Sabbath-keeper and remarried. She and her new husband attended an Amazing Facts revival series with her two boys. The meetings revitalized her faith in God and even inspired her nine-year-old son to commit his life to Christ through baptism.

During this time, trials tested their faith. Sheila and her husband ran a successful tree business and always set aside money to pay taxes. But one year, they fell short several thousand dollars. Sheila explains, “We had six weeks to come up with this money. From a human perspective, this looked impossible. We prayed about it, knowing that God has always supplied all of our needs.”

With time running out and rain in the forecast—which meant no work—the situation looked hopeless. But Sheila had been in hopeless situations before and found strength from the truths she learned through Amazing Facts.

During the next few days, the temperature plunged and the rain turned into an ice storm. Tree limbs began breaking all over the city and, within hours, people began calling their company to come and clear branches and fallen trees from driveways and yards. They were soon booked for months. In just three weeks they had all the funds to pay their taxes.

Sheila confidently points to Amazing Facts as a heaven-sent ministry that bolstered her faith through dark days.
