Stephanie The Provider, Part 2

Daily Devotional Audio

After searching to find love for years, Stephanie began reading her Bible and felt a hunger to learn more. When she called her mom and asked for Bible studies, her mother began weeping over the phone. She had been praying for 20 long years that her daughter would someday call and ask for just that. So, on her mother’s advice, Stephanie began the online Amazing Facts Bible lessons. It took her just two weeks to complete.

Stephanie called her mom a second time and asked, “Where could I get baptized?” Her mother gave her the name of a nearby Sabbath-keeping church. When Stephanie called, she was invited to a special seminar that the church was holding.

The evening that Stephanie walked through the doors of the church, a lady greeted her, and on this greeter’s blouse was a name tag along with the words “Amazing Facts.”

Stephanie looked up. “Okay, Lord, You got me,” she said.

At the end of the seminar, she was baptized.

After her baptism, Stephanie still struggled with her health, with depression, even with suicidal thoughts. Then one day, she found out that she had lost her job. But she fought back those feelings of abandonment and despair. She put her trust in God and prayed.

Three days later, she received a call from Amazing Facts, offering her temporary work. Stephanie could barely believe it. God had answered her prayer. She did not know how or when or even why Amazing Facts had contacted her as a potential hire, but she did know that God had not deserted her. He cared about her.

“I have no idea how they got my name and phone number, but I do know one thing: God does provide,” she smiled.

Today, Stephanie is an active soul-winner for Christ and even uses Amazing Facts Storacles for her Bible studies. She also has a special burden for those who struggle with depression. She loves Bible Answers Live as a resource, as well as Sabbath School Study Hour and the extensive online library. “Amazing Facts holds a special place in my heart,” she says.

Reflect: Have you ever questioned God’s great love for you? Read the story of Jesus’ crucifixion in Matthew 26– 28 and reflect on how much heaven gave for you.
