Teri Mrs. Nobody, Part 2

Daily Devotional Audio

Teri and her husband were amazed to find so much information about the Bible in one place! The resources they discovered at amazingfacts.org were heaven sent.

Teri began studying the Storacles online and fell in love with them. Whenever she had a question, she wrote directly to Amazing Facts and, to her delight, an Amazing Facts correspondent answered her questions quickly and clearly. And these weren’t automated responses either—they were responses from real, live people who cared about her, who wanted her to learn and to understand the God of the Bible for herself. “I liked learning the reasons behind the way I believe,” she adds.

As Teri came to understand Bible truths more fully—especially the Sabbath— her own life brightened and her world enlarged. The dry feeling in her heart, that she was a nobody, began to change as messages from heaven helped her to bloom. After completing all of the Storacles, she was delighted and astonished to receive two free Amazing Facts books! “Not bad,” she thought for someone who dubbed herself “the stupid one in the family.”

Teri has since quit drinking. Instead of pouring herself a drink every morning, she spends a quiet hour with God and an Amazing Facts devotional. She and her husband have started attending a Sabbath-keeping church. Instead of her husband spending free time watching movies, they now spend time together watching Amazing Facts on Roku. Teri also adamantly shares the Amazing Facts website with her loved ones—spreading the gospel in what ways she can.

Little by little, with God’s power, Teri and her husband have been making changes in their lives. A tiny stream of truth that started with the discovery of the true Sabbath, has become a gushing river, overflowing with the love of God. “God is so good!” writes Teri. “I am like a fountain inside when I think about how great He is.” As Jesus said to the woman at the well, “The water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life” (John 4:14).

Though Teri once felt like a Mrs. Nobody, she now knows that she is a precious somebody in Jesus.

Reflect: Are you experiencing God’s love flowing inside of you like water springing up into everlasting life? If not, Jesus invites you to ask, for He will freely give.
