PAFCOE Baptizes 106, Launches Missionaries

Thank you for shining the light of gospel truth into the spiritual darkness of the Philippines. Your commitment to evangelism is yielding a rich harvest and enabling our workers at the Philippine Amazing Facts Center of Evangelism (PAFCOE) to reach thousands for Christ.

This past fall, your co-laboring gifts sent PAFCOE trainees to 13 sites across the Philippines. They conducted evangelistic seminars, church revival programs, and training sessions to equip local church members. Their consecrated efforts, upheld by your prayerful gifts, led to 106 baptisms. PAFCOE’s work of training dedicated young people for mission service continues. The next batch of students has completed their classroom training and conducted an evangelistic series in a local church, which has led to more than 20 baptisms. Obedience Over Convenience

Generosa grew up Catholic. She attended Mass faithfully for 70 years, believing that her church’s traditions would keep her soul safe.

Then last fall, she was invited to attend one of the evangelistic series you and your caring gifts helped host. She wanted her nieces and nephews to attend so they could learn more about God. They didn’t come, but Generosa decided to participate. “Little did I know that this decision would change the course of my life,” she says.

She walked into the seminar assuming she knew a lot about the Bible. But she quickly realized that she did not know much about Scripture. “I was humbled by the depth of truth I had never encountered before,” she says. “My hunger to learn more grew with each passing day.”

Generosa was shocked to learn that for her entire life, she had been worshiping God according to tradition and not based on God’s commandments. She discovered that her dress should be modest to reflect Christ’s character to those around her. Her body being the temple of God and the Bible’s prohibition against eating things that would displease God challenged her.

“I began to understand that true faith requires loving obedience over convenience,” says Generosa. “As I surrendered each area of my life to God’s Word, every step of sincere obedience brought me closer to living in peace and harmony with God’s will.” Her faith journey reached a high point at her baptism.

Generosa is thrilled with the way God has been leading her. “What I gained at the Amazing Facts prophecy seminar was far more valuable than anything money could buy. I have found the true church and discovered the joy of living in God’s truth. Now I feel an overwhelming sense of responsibility to share His loving truth with my family and others.”

For a Greater Purpose

Harlen first felt the call to ministry while he was in college, but a decade would pass before he yielded completely to God’s call and became a full-time worker at the Philippine Amazing Facts Center of Evangelism.

God planted the first seeds of His calling while Harlen was in college. He participated in various campus ministries, spent a summer selling simple, truth-filled literature door-to-door, and even served as Vice President for Religious Affairs. He spent another summer giving Bible studies as part of an evangelistic campaign. “Each encounter, every prayer, and every Bible study taught me more about God’s love and strengthened my commitment to serve Him,” says Harlen.

Harlen planned to spend a year in mission work after graduation, but he landed a job in his profession and became busy with work. Yet the conviction that he was “meant for something more” stayed with him. Twice, he passed up an opportunity for full-time evangelism, thinking he needed more financial stability first. “The truth was, I was holding back, unsure if I was ready to fully surrender to God’s calling.”

In 2023, a serious foot injury gave Harlen two months to reflect. As he sought God’s guidance, he stumbled upon a Facebook post by Pastor Doug promoting the PAFCOE program. “Something stirred in me,” he shares. “Despite my physical limitations, I felt an undeniable pull to join.”

Harlen took the leap of faith and joined PAFCOE in the spring of 2024. God confirmed His calling on Harlen’s life; today, he serves as part of the PAFCOE team. He shares, “To anyone who feels the tug of God’s calling, I encourage you: Do not delay. Trust Him with your life, and He will lead you to a purpose far greater than anything you can imagine.” Thank you for making it possible for PAFCOE to hire consecrated young people like Harlen to lead out and train others in sharing the everlasting gospel in the Philippines.
