The primary mission of our Indonesia Amazing Facts is to present the everlasting gospel to thirsty souls in this island nation. Jesus described His offer of salvation as life-giving water. Central to our strategy for sharing Christ is to build an evangelistic training center, and right now your prayers are needed to overcome an obstacle—drilling for water.
The building project is on hold for “The High Point” evangelistic campus until water can be secured. After three failed attempts at digging a well on different areas of the property, one more attempt will be made. If that falls through, other methods for bringing water to the campus will be investigated. We earnestly seek your prayer support as we search for water. It’s an important step in building an outreach center for training others to give out the Water of Life!
Much prayer has gone into finding this rural property. It is large enough to build a campus that will equip and send out missionaries across Southeast Asia. The land was also purchased debt-free, but funds are still urgently needed for the building project. The team has named the new training center “The High Point,” which expresses the high calling and work of preparing students to teach others about the kingdom of heaven.
Sharing Christ in Indonesia
God blessed the work of IAFCOE in 2022 through several outreach initiatives. Our health clinic provides healthy lifestyle classes and basic check-up services (blood pressure, blood sugar, uric acid, and cholesterol). Last year 1,649 patients were seen. Our health ministry also provides nutritious meals to the needy in the community.
IAFCOE also conducts Internet evangelism through three Indonesian websites. One site was created specifically to reach those who do not have a Bible because of family persecution. It is a safe place for them to access all the resources they need to learn about God’s last day messages. We had 974 students taking online Bible studies last year. Praise the Lord!
The publishing ministry of IAFCOE reprinted 24,000 tracts in 2022. We also printed 3,000 copies of Pastor Doug’s Heading for the Hills?, 3,000 copies of Jim Pinkoski’s The Truth About the Sabbath, along with other sharing resources, all translated into Indonesian. Our Amazing Facts Indonesia webstore is happy to report that 12,782 pieces of truth-filled literature were sold last year.
In this Muslim-dominated country, evangelism can be challenging. New believers who were formerly Muslim can be shunned by family, verbally abused, and put under intense pressure to return to Islam. You make it possible for our IAFCOE team to prayerfully enter Muslim communities, work with local churches, and share literature. You helped provide online missionary training to 179 students in 2022 in Southeast Asia.
