CEDAR LAKE, Michigan—Heralding a much-needed, brand-new Christian program just for kids, an elaborate model of a missionary ship greets hundreds of curious children as they step into the Michigan camp meeting church building. The colorful and exciting set design is all part of Amazing Adventure, a ten-part evangelistic series that set sail June 14.
Produced by the ministry of Amazing Facts, Amazing Adventure is designed to help kids 8 to 12 years old to stand with Christ today and for all eternity. Each program features exciting illustrations and interactive Bible questions to convey life-transforming messages to eager young minds and open hearts.
Pastor Doug Batchelor, president of Amazing Facts and speaker for the series, says, “We’re here in Michigan to help young people find Jesus and begin a lifelong adventure. This world wants to stop kids from finding faith, but the Amazing Adventure program shows how much God cares about them!”
The custom-made ship backdrop—a first for the ministry—recalls the early missionary vessels deployed by Sabbath-keeping Christians in the nineteenth century, taking the everlasting gospel to the world’s farthest reaches. While today’s interconnected world seems much smaller than the society of years gone by, it’s still important to launch out in search of seeking hearts and inquiring minds.
Along with live presentations at the Michigan Conference camp meeting, the programs are streamed nightly on Facebook so families all around the world can join in. And the excitement won’t stop when the camp meeting ends; the presentations will soon be available in a high-quality DVD set available this fall, including all-new new Bible lessons for kids. What’s more, Amazing Facts will also release its first-ever Bible for children, featuring the Amazing Adventure theme.
The series continues through Saturday, June 22. More information on the series is available online at amazingfactskids.org.
