God’s Last-day Message Joyfully Received in Taiwan, Malaysia, and Singapore

The recent and long-awaited move of Amazing Facts International into the W.O.R.D. Center in Granite Bay, California, has been a vital step in advancing ministry’s goals and growing our capacity for outreach—but there’s also much more that’s moving at Amazing Facts!

Pastor Doug Batchelor and the Amazing Facts team recently returned from an evangelistic trip that included sharing the good news in Taiwan, Malaysia, and Singapore—all made possible by the loving gifts of our ministry friends.

“During this trip, Karen and I heard many encouraging stories from souls won through the Holy Spirit’s work at Amazing Facts,” Pastor Doug shares. “And an especially big impact has been seen through the translation of our printed and video resources.”

All three nations on this evangelistic push are located within a region known as the “10/40 Window,” an area that lies approximately between 10 degrees north and 40 degrees north latitude. It includes North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, and is home to about two-thirds of the world’s population. It’s also where you find most of the world’s countries and people groups that are least-reached by the gospel.

Advancing God’s Message

Malaysia, with a population of 32 million, is a unique nation geographically. Part of it is located on a peninsula in Southeast Asia that includes Thailand, with which it shares a land border. East Malaysia, known as Malaysian Borneo, occupies part of the island of Borneo and shares borders with Brunei and Indonesia. Malaysia is largely an Islamic country, requiring great care when doing evangelism.

Singapore, which is connected to Malaysia by a land bridge, is one of the most prosperous nations in Asia, with a booming economy and financial services sector. We are so thankful that three churches in Singapore united in inviting Pastor Doug to conduct evangelistic meetings there, and 30 souls signed up for Bible studies as a result.

Taiwan, an island country located just off the coast of mainland China, is a key location from which we can reach into the much larger People’s Republic of China. Mandarin Chinese is a common language in both places, so our materials in Mandarin are not only accessible but are also quite popular. We learned that almost every Christian in Taiwan has viewed The Final Events of Bible Prophecy and The Cosmic Conflict DVD documentaries, for example.

“I want our Amazing Facts supporters to know they are making an impact that’s being felt clear around the world,” Pastor Doug reported. “In all three countries, we met many people and heard multiple testimonies of lives being transformed by the Amazing Facts broadcasts, videos, and publishing materials.”

In all three locations, Pastor Doug also filmed several new Amazing Facts of Faith segments highlighting some of the amazing local landmarks and customs while bringing out spiritual lessons. You can find these on our YouTube channel and on AFTV!
